For TempusTuum™, I developed a series of icons and logos,
inspired by the Egyptian hieroglyph “neḥeḥ” meaning time (eternity,
especially cyclical time), which consists, in one form, of the combination of water,
two wicks of twisted flax, and the Sun. I have transformed the wicks into the DNA
double helix. DNA represents individuality and uniqueness. The four strands also
relate to the four astronomical seasons, and a helix can be a metaphor,
or a synesthete's view of time. To this basic design I add the Moon, stars,
and other elements as appropriate for its use.
